Ufo Truths and Lies - Free Essay Example
Sample details Pages: 3 Words: 870 Downloads: 10 Date added: 2017/09/16 Category Advertising Essay Did you like this example? When is the truth a lie?.. When it is only half told. The truth like an arrow in flight, if it deviates by a plus or minus . Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Our writers will create an original "Ufo Truths and Lies" essay for you Create order 0 degrees, in any direction, will not hit its mark. True it may come pretty close, may fall with in acceptable boundaries, but more times than not it will miss the mark altogether. Seems to me people always say they want that arrow (the truth) to hit dead center bulls eye all the time, but because of hidden agendas though the aim, was true when the arrow was loosed, the arrow ends up being deflected by things beyond the archers control and never is a solid hit. It is time for people to realize the government is not the only one that, under the guise of looking out for the public good or doing the right thing, because of their actions, turn whole truths into full lies, for a half truth is still a whole lie is it not, for there are no such things as half lies, lies are lies, and that is that Today the UFO and Alien Abduction Phenomena has finally stepped from the shadows and has taken its place in the full light of public awareness. Now we see flying saucers and aliens used to sell us any and everything from A to Z. This is good to some extent for now people from all walks of life are finally taking an active interest in this ancient phenomena. Still I feel we have a long way to go before we will ever, if we ever, make heads or tails out of the riddles of UFOs and ETs. Today they are being called everything from Angelic to Demonic, to Ascended Masters, and this can well be understood because the phenomena crosses all of the boundaries of the paranormal. If we are ever to get a handle on this slippery perplexation we must be willing to toss aside old ways of seeing and believing and be willing to look at things that we have been over looking either because of our fear of being ridiculed as fools by our government, gullible by the scientist, or heretics by our church. All the while these very same institutions claims it is for the good of the public that we forget this stuff and go on with our lives for it will drive you crazy, send you into a cult, or to hell. So far depending on which of these three institutions the investigators hale from this phenomena is viewed differently. If it is a government investigation it will not tell all it finds out because of National Security. If is a scientific investigation anything of a non tangible nature will be ignored. If it is a religious group anything that smacks of paganism, E. S. P, witchcraft, or magic will be excluded. Thus in the end, none of the nvestigators ever allow themselves access to the full scope of the phenomena they are trying, or at least claiming to try to investigate. It all depends on the mind set of the investigator that the True Experiencer tells their encounter to as to the spin that will be put on it when the a fore said Investigator retells and retails the Experiencers story. Very often those points of the Experiencers experience that clash with their ( the Investigators ) belief systems will be left out of the report or twisted to mean something else. Sometimes this is deliberate but at times it is accidental for the Investigators more times than not is not an Experiencer, and so over looks the subtleties of the encounter for the more sensual or sensational points of it. There in is the problem, for as I have learned because of my many encounters, the ETs tend to speak more to that part of the mind we call the sub conscience for that is the realm of the Quantum Mind. It is because the Investigators focus mainly on the realm of the Linear Mind ( the physical ) they often over look the deeper meanings and obvious messages and information that are sometime passed during the encounter. The Linear Mind speaks person to person, The Quantum Mind speaks Species to Species. I will explain by using the Betty Hills encounter for that is well known. Betty Hill was given a book by one of the beings she encountered, which she wanted to keep as proof that what she had experienced was real, and was told she could keep it, but the book was taken away. She was shone a star map that she was told was useless for her if she did not know where she was located on the map. A needle was put into her navel and she was told it was a test for pregnancy, but she knew that, that was no pregnancy test she had ever heard of. When these actions are viewed Linearly , that is to say in the context of the every day mind of her time these entities were deceitful tormentors. Today we know that the star map she was shone was accurate and did pinpoint the area that she was told the entities came from Zeta Reticula.

Persepolis The Story Of An Iranian Child Meeting...
Persepolis: the story of an Iranian child meeting Westernized culture Works in Translation Paper English A: Literature HL Catalina Pino-Rios XXXXX (Candidate Number) Mrs. Smithson May 2017 Bethesda Chevy Chase High School Word Count: 1207 Many people from around the world have a different perspectives of what western culture really is depending on where you are in the world, or what cultures and religions you follow. Some see is at a place of wealth, self-expression, or opportunity. While other places see it as a place of freedom away from the harsh realities they are facing in their own homes. Some countries, like Iran see ââ¬Å"western cultureâ⬠as a negative thing because it causes iranianâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦The West was an area of creativity and freedom that many outsiders are not able to have. With socially constricting rules to follow on how to dress and what to believe in, self discovery becomes harder to achieve for an individual. For those who must live with imprisoning boundaries forced upon them, like women in the middle east, individualism is almost impossible. For teens in these strict middle eastern, islamic controlled countries it is very hard to build a person s individuality and there fore create who they want to be as adults. In these specific countries young girls, and women in general, are disempowered because they have to conform to their governments ideals for their very own society. These womenââ¬â¢s conformity becomes a routine for them, that even they start believing that there is no way out of their societies ideals. Many times in Iran, Western women, who have their own style, who have their own opinion, reputation and power, who have their own personality and individuality, are the role models of these eastern women. Young girls use them as an inspiration of what they hope to achieve when building their character. In Marjane Satrapiââ¬â¢s graphic novel persepolis the female protagonist from the middle Eastern culture has a desire to empower her own identity by using western media and their image of an independant woman, as well as role models they encounter. Core Beliefs of Christianity for Omnipotent-myassignmenthelp
Question: Discuss about theCore Beliefs of Christianity for Omnipotent. Answer: Christianity as a religion is comprised of numerous denominations. Every denomination has its unique doctrines that vary considerably from other faiths. However, Christianity as a religion has some beliefs that are commonly shared by all the Christians. All Christians believe in the supremacy and monotheism (McGrath, 2016). In other words, Christians believe in the existence of God who is greater than anything else. Christians agree on the attributes of God as omnipresent, omniscient, creator, immutable and omnipotent. Additionally, there is also the belief in the holy trinity (God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit). Jesus is also believed to be the son of God that was given to die on the cross to save mankind. Jesus died and rose on the third day and ascended to heaven (McGrath, 2016). For this reason, Christians are saved through accepting Jesus as the savior. Another common belief is the belief in the bible. All Christians believe that Bible is the only Holy book tha t was inspired by God. It is also a flawless and authoritative book that was written by the word of God (Rhodes, 2015). Moreover, Christians share the belief that there will be second coming of Jesus Christ. The righteous will inherit the heavenly kingdom as the sinful will be condemned to eternal fire. Music In The Ages Essays - Vocal Music, Age Of Enlightenment
music in the ages Early Baroque Period (1600 - 1680) The most important figure of the Early Baroque period was the Italian composer Claudio Monteverdi. He transformed music through his imaginative development of traditional forms. In particular, the dramatic styles of his madrigals (vocal compositions) anticipates the solo cantata and operatic recitative (a singing styles that resembles speech) of the Late Baroque period. Monteverdi was also the earliest significant composer of opera. Other music that flourished during this period was church organ music. Dutch composer Jan Sweelinck pioneered a number of forms, including the fugue, which strongly influenced J.S. Bach. Another leading musician was Dietrich Buxtehude, whose fame inspired Bach to walk two hundred miles just to hear him play. The early 17th century saw the rise of Baroque monody, where the melody is given to one instrument of voice, while a basso continuo ("continuing bass"), usually consisting of a keyboard and bass melody instrument, supplies the accompaniment. This did much to distinguish it from the polyphony of the Renaissance. The basso continuo was a common device in both vocal and instrumental Baroque music. Its keyboard part was never written out, but each chord change was indicated by numbers written over or under the bass line.

Free Essays on The State Of The Worldââ¬â¢s Natural Environment
The State of the Worldââ¬â¢s Natural Environment Science and technology will not be able to ensure a better future for the human race. The future of the planet is a big concern now since there are so many people. One of the issues is global warming. Each of the international governments need to keep track of their own carbon emissions so scientist can focus on the threat of climate change. In the last twenty years the farmers in Stockholm have lost 500 billion tons of topsoil due to erosion. In Rio carbon dioxide climbed 9 percent from the year before. Seeing some of the troubles some countries are going thought there is really no true accounting system on depreciation of natural capital or loss of topsoil from erosion, destruction of forest by acid rain, or the depletion of the protective stratosphere. No one has a clue of how many species of plants and animals are lost each year. Plus the question still remains how many species are there on Earth? There is no global data system that can measure gains or losses of grass, trees, topsoil, and more. The result of having no global data system is that there will be destruction of the environment. Today the economy is expanding and to have an incomplete accounting system then the environment could collapse slowly and destroy the whole system. ââ¬Å"Rapid population growth, environmental degradation, and deepening poverty are reinforcing each other in a downward spiral in many countries.â⬠In 49 countries 846 million people are low-income, ââ¬Å"largely agrarian economies experiencing rapid population growth and extensive degradation of their forest, grasslands, and croplands.â⬠The Royal Society/National Academy statement implies it may be impossible to reverse the falling of the living standards of nearly one sixth of the human race if nothing changes.... Analysis of the Critical Theorists View on Domination Term Paper
Analysis of the Critical Theorists View on Domination - Term Paper Example The Concept of Domination Due to the radical perspective of the critical theorists, the social notions presented had effects that can be attributed to the concept of domination. Domination is defined as a form of influence to an individual that results in the confirmation of goals, purposes, and actions to what had been prescribed or dictated (Held, p.149). This can affect the society in terms of different aspects that comprise the social institutions such as the culture industry aspect, the technology and consumption aspect, the nature of corporate capitalism, and the authoritarian personality. Each of these components can affect the manner by which a society functions, thus, these are included in the essential factors within the critical theory (Craib, 1992; Miles, 2006). Domination is the main concept that links the different points of views of the different advocates of the critical theory but is considered as the uniting factor in the critical theory. ...210). Due to the differe nt views of the critical theorists, the whole perspective of the group regarding domination is composed of the different components. Domination and the Culture Industry The view of domination in relation to the culture industry is the main perspective of Max Horkheimer and Theodor Adorno. It explores the role the nature of the culture which according to them is a ââ¬Ëcapitalist industry.ââ¬â¢ This can be attributed to the fact that what is termed as enlightenment can be considered as mass deception. This is due to the fact that capitalist industry dominates the culture. Thus, instead of triggering a check and balance effect to the dominating effect of the capital, the interactions within the society such as work and even leisure is completely controlled (Szeman and Kaposy, 2010, p.40). The theory perceives the society dominated by the capitalist industry to be in a vicious cycle. Upon looking at the said perspective, it is clear that it is one of the reasons that the critical theory is considered radical because it questions the whole social structure.
